Who is Brittni Horton

At the age of 19, during my freshman year of college studying theater with dreams of becoming an actress, I stumbled upon the payroll industry. I began working with numerous payroll customers and after just three months, I realized that payroll could become a lifelong career. I distinctly recall telling my mother that I would always have a job because every company has a payroll department. This revelation became one of my most significant truths - regardless of the industry, a skilled payroll professional is always in demand. And so, my journey in the payroll industry began.

My first experience with Workday payroll remains fresh in my memory. At the time, I was a payroll supervisor at a flight and ambulatory company that had undergone 22 acquisitions, which created a high-stress environment. With tremendous pressure from the leadership to 'get it right', we struggled with manual workarounds and payroll failures for months. It was then that I made a vow to master Workday Payroll configuration. Little did I know, I would soon discover that there is no true 'master' of Workday Payroll - rather, we are all forever students. In a sense, I drank the "Kool-Aid" and became passionate about the endless possibilities and challenges of Workday Payroll.

 As a payroll professional with years of experience in the industry, I am on a mission to simplify the payroll processing game for all. I understand the challenges that payroll teams face while striving to complete their tasks within tight deadlines. Hence, my mission is to help as many people as possible understand the complexities of the Workday payroll module and provide them with the necessary tools to simplify their work. Ultimately, I am passionate about making their jobs easier and more efficient.
